I am passionate about helping individuals, adolescents, and couples learn how to manage symptoms of anxiety and depression in their personal lives by developing a strong sense of self, by building meaningful connections, and by healing from generational cycles of trauma. I offer an empathic, nonjudgmental environment to discuss your most heartfelt matters.

Barbara is a New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut state licensed psychotherapist. She holds a MSW degree from Columbia University. Barbara specializes in treating anxiety & depression with a trauma-informed lens in adolescents, adults, and postpartum parents. She also treats individuals afflicted with grief and loss, shift in identity around parenthood, and attachment-related styles.

Barbara also counsels couples and families facing relationship/marital problems, divorce, and mental health barriers affecting the relationship. Barbara utilizes a cultural humility approach in managing family conflict around race, religion, and diversity.
​
She has experience treating individuals in challenging life transitions, such as college transition, identity development in adolescents, and stressors around LGBTQIA+ challenges.
Prior to starting her practice, Barbara worked in an agency setting serving parents and at-risk adolescents experiencing depression/anxiety disorders, neurodiversity, and/or Serious Emotional Disorders (SED) to improve their wellbeing at home, school, and community.
