Individual Therapy

We often find ourselves reacting to our circumstances or life's outcome with thoughts of anxiety, depression, worthlessness, and self-blame. These unfavorable circumstances of life can bring us down to despair and further increase the feeling that there is no way out.

​

Individual therapy provides the time to reflect on these circumstances and the thought patterns that heighten these emotions. The hope is that we will create distance from these emotions to view your circumstances with compassion and objectivity in order to magnify your strengths and potential.

EMDR THERAPY

Traumatic events affect the way we view ourselves and how we show up at work, relate to friends, and connect with family. To make things worse, trauma can also impact your body and dysregulate your nervous system, robbing you of being present in the moment. 

​

Eye movement desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a therapeutic approach that provides resources and mindfulness techniques to visit the trauma and rewire your neural pathways to an adaptive view of self and how you relate to the world.

Couples Therapy

Relationships are messy! The people you love the most have the power to cause the most harm. They also have the power to bring the most fulfillment and happiness. In couples therapy, we identify maladaptive dynamics in the partnership, improve communication styles, and learn ways to increase empathy for self and partner.

Couples will often broach the subject on racial/cultural differences and religious upbringing along with finances, mental health, and raising children.
